LI-MA AND DISTANT.GALLERY – CONTENT MACHINES – REQUIES
22 June 2026 – 23 June 2026
A hybrid two-day festival by LI-MA and Distant.Gallery. AI-generated content fills the digital space, and the festival asks whether the same techniques can be turned towards artistic, non-commercial ends. Across exhibitions, panels, screenings, and live performances, international artists, collectives, and institutions bring together shared toolkits and critical reflections on authorship, automation, and visibility.
LI-MA draws works from its collection – including pieces by Raul Marroquin, Antoni Muntadas, Remko Scha, and Anika Schwarzlose & Brian D McKenna – situating the programme within a longer history of artists working with generative systems and machine-based authorship. distant.gallery extends the festival into its online exhibition space, where visitors move through the shows together and encounter one another much as they would in a physical room. The wider line-up brings in Gray Area, ROTBOTS, Silicon Plateau, and Untitled Tbilisi, ranging from digital ritual and image culture to what screens are doing to us.
Tickets: €5 per evening, or €7.50 for both days, via Eventbrite
