The film shows how these events relate to contemporary police and surveillance practices and social movements. For the first time, Patricia Rodney, Walter Rodney’s widow, shares the personal story of the impact of his murder on their family. Featuring contributions from influential figures such as Angela Davis, Gina Miller, former President of Guyana Donald Ramotar, and Walter’s family members, the film offers a new perspective on the legacy of colonialism and its impact on the modern world. The documentary premiered to a sold-out crowd at the prestigious British Film Institute and was supported by the Walter Rodney Foundation and the Ameena Gafoor Institute.
