Two characters explore this maze-like structure. As they move deeper into the mountain, they encounter the ghosts of the past radiating from the walls.

Gedurende een vijf jaar durende reis langs heilige bergen in Europa en Azië observeerde zij de relatie tussen mens, natuur en tijd. Het werk is een aanéénrijging van ogenschijnlijk gewone alledaagse situaties waarin mens en natuur zich terloops met elkaar verweven.
This poetic video reflects Antoinette Nausikaä’s personal search for the immutable. During a five-year journey along sacred mountains in Europe and Asia, she observed the relationship between humans, nature and time. In this work, seemingly ordinary everyday situations and events are strung together, showing moments where humans and nature incidentally intertwine.

Het videowerk INVERSION toont binnen- en buitenruimten van een verlaten plek in een bos. De camera tast langzaam het landschap af en toont sporen van een geruisloze omkering, waarin de grens tussen natuur en cultuur vervaagt.
The video work INVERSION—consisting of two full HD video projections side by side—juxtaposes the outdoor and indoor spaces of an abandoned shelter in a forest. The camera slowly scans the landscape, showing traces of a silent inversion, a process in which nature is taken over by culture and culture by nature.
