Een verzameling nagelaten foto’s uit de 19e eeuw, leidt tot een ‘caleidoscopische verkenningstocht’ door Midden-Europa. Hanlo: “Een reis, die mij van buitenaf wordt opgelegd, waar ikzelf niet direct voor had gekozen, als ik de foto’s niet had geërfd. Een verzameling van een voorouder, waarin de genealogische lijn wordt doorgetrokken in tijd naast een geologische lijn in ruimte.”

A collection of inherited photos from the 19th century leads to a ‘kaleidoscopic exploration’ through Central Europe. Hanlo: “A journey imposed on me from the outside, which I would not have chosen directly if I had not inherited the photos. A collection of an ancestor, in which the genealogical line is extended in time next to a geological line in space.”
