A gay advertising copywriter from Montreal attends his late partner’s funeral in the countryside, where the family of the man he once loved draws him into a twisted psychological game of death in this thriller from director Xavier Dolan (Laurence Anyways). Deeply distraught over the death of his beloved Guy, grief-stricken urbanite Tom (writer/director, producer Dolan) ventures into the country to pay his respects. Shortly after arriving on the family farm where Guy grew up, however, Tom begins to sense that something is amiss with Guy’s masculine brother Francis and enigmatic mother Agatha. Later, as it begins to appear that Francis and Agatha have no intentions of letting him leave, Tom realizes that with every passing hour, his chances for escape grow dimmer.
