Coinciding with our program Transcending Time: The Films Of Andrei Tarkovsky we invite film critic Kevin Toma on Thursday September 26th for an hour long lecture about the works of the most important post-war Russian director, Andrei Tarkovsky. Accompanied by a collage of movie clips, interviews and on-set footage Toma will take you on a journey through the master’s symbolism, his narrative stylings and explore what makes his enigmatic cinema so unique and utterly compelling. Afterwards you’ll have the chance to revisit his most autobiographical film, The Mirror (tickets sold separately).
