🇳🇱 Tijdens de 6e editie van ons festival staat ons speciale programma in LAB111, CÔTE À CÔTE, in het teken van de revolutionaire filmmakers van toen en nu: we programmeren films van nieuwe talenten naast het werk van visionaire activist en kunstenaar Agnès Varda. Dit programma is een ode aan de Franse passie voor vernieuwende cinema, en een oproep om deze nog vele generaties voort te zetten.

Als onderdeel van het CÔTE À CÔTE-programma organiseren we in de Kapel van LAB111 een verdiepingsprogramma voor (startende) creatieve professionals: de ATELIERS.
Dit zijn thematische sessies waarin Franse filmprofessionals, Nederlandse filmmakers en andere creatieven elkaar kunnen ontmoeten en inspireren.

🇬🇧 During the 6th edition of our festival, our special program in LAB111, CÔTE À CÔTE, focuses on the revolutionary filmmakers from the past and the present: we program films by new talents alongside the work of visionary activist and artist Agnès Varda. This program is an ode to the French passion for innovative cinema, and a call to continue this for many generations to come.

As part of the CÔTE À CÔTE program, we organise an in-depth program for (starting) creative professionals in LAB111: the ATELIERS. 

These are thematic sessions in which French film professionals, Dutch filmmakers and other creatives can meet and learn from each other.

In deze hands-on workshop duiken we in de wereld van scenario en storytelling. Welk verhaal wil je als betrokken startende filmmaker delen en hoe vind je je eigen stem  – en hoe vertaal je dit vervolgens naar je scenario? Deze praktische, inspirerende workshop wordt geleid door Thomas Gayrard, scenarioschrijver en Hoofd Pedagogie van filmschool Kourtrajmé Montfermeil (opgericht door o.a. Ladj Ly), en scenarioschrijfster Bérénice Bocquillon (o.a. co-scenariste van LA PAMPA, de openingsfilm van het ons festival dit jaar).

In this hands-on workshop we dive into the world of screenplay and storytelling. As a committed starting filmmaker, what story do you want to share and how do you find your own voice – and how do you then translate this into your screenplay? This practical, inspiring workshop is led by Thomas Gayrard, screenwriter and Head of Pedagogy at Kourtrajmé Montfermeil film school (founded by Ladj Ly a.o), and screenwriter Bérénice Bocquillon (co-screenwriter of LA PAMPA, the opening film of this year’s our festival).
