No one else is making films with the urgency of Loach, and the performances here have a raw honesty that cuts to the humanity of complex political problems.
Ricky is dreaming of better things for his family when he becomes a delivery van driver. But as an ‘independent contractor’, he’s working in unsparing conditions, just like his wife Abbie, a care nurse on a zero hours contract.
