PFFA: Bye Bye Tiberias

BYE BYE TIBERIAS (2023), directed by Lina Soualem, is a touching weave of the personal and the political in an ode to family, origins, and to the steadfast resilience of Palestinian women. The documentary follows Soualem and her mother, actress Hiam Abbass, as they piece together the scattered stories of four generations of women, each forced to leave their homes under different circumstances. Through intimate conversations, oral histories, and a blend of personal and historical archives, the film explores memory, resistance, and the strength of intergenerational bonds.
