Een huiveringwekkend horroravontuur dat net zo’n groot scherm verdient als de vorige films van regisseur Jae-hyun Jang, met dit keer met als bonus Choi Min-Sik als Feng Shui-meester die zo’n beetje alles heeft gezien. Fantastische, verdiepende setpieces vmet sjamanistische rituelen gaan hand in hand met een verhaal over de Koreaanse geschiedenis, waardoor ieder shot tjokvol sfeer zit. Een aantal goed getimede scares en een ronduit moordend tempo dragen verder bij aan de beste bioscoopervaring van dit moment. .

Exhuma is rip-roaring horror adventure that is as much of a big screen spectacle as director Jae-hyun Jang’s previous efforts were, but this time with the added bonus of Choi Min-sik as a Feng Shui master who has pretty much seen it all. Fantastic set pieces delving into shamanistic rituals mingle with a story that concerns Korean history, creating a film that is electric with atmosphere at every turn. Some well-timed scares and a simply relentless sense of pacing add to a good time unlike anything else in cinemas at the moment.
