FIGHT THE POWER: PERSEPOLIS INCL. Q&A
For this May 5th edition of Fight The Power, we screen Persepolis (2007), the bold, black-and-white animated film by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud. Based on Satrapi’s graphic memoir, it follows a young woman coming of age during and after the Iranian Revolution, navigating exile, repression, and the struggle to define herself in a collapsing world.
By blending the personal with the political, Persepolis becomes a powerful act of resistance — against authoritarianism, cultural erasure, and the forces that try to shape us. With humour, heart, and rage, it reminds us that revolution often begins from within.

This special screening on May 5th will be followed by a Q&A which will offer context on the Iranian Revolution and what this landmark film continues to represent today (€3 surcharge).
